Coachwhips in a tunnel with bats over head

Clarity Tunnel is an abandoned rail road tunnel along Caprock Canyons State Park and Trailway.  You can contact Caprock Canyon State Park for more information on a trip to the tunnel.  In this video, Jessie captures western coachwhips and I film the action.  I provide a bit of natural history on the coachwhip and you’ll get a good look at the kinds of speed this serpent is capable of achieving.  Adding to the excitement are thousands of Brazilian free-tailed bats circling overhead and clouds of guano kicked up from Jessie’s cowboy boots.
